4 Hacks to shot a good basket

There is no such thing as a perfect game but striving for perfection is what each game helps you to. Basketball is a limited contact sport played on a rectangular court. While most often played as a team sport with five players on each side, three-on-three, two-on-two, and one-on-one competitions are also common.

The criteria of how to shoot a ball is through a 18 inches diameter hoop and 10 feet high which must be mounted to a backboard at each end of the court. This sport of Basketball was invented in 1891 by Dr. James Naismith.

Every basketball player is looking for just one chance to throw the subject into basket but there are other players in the same field waiting for the same chance. It’s never easy.. actually nothing is !

Four hacks that must be taken in mind before going to shot a basket are featured below:-

  1. Stop Thinking about your Shot During Games

One of the worst things you can do is think about your mechanics to shoot during a game.

You should only think during certain parts of your practice. If you start developing rhythm and get further into practice then don’t think but it’s ok to think about your shots once you are learning. During games, train yourself to think about other things or nothing at all.

If you want your performance to be improved, adopt this physically as well as mentally.

  1. Eliminate negative thoughts

This sort of thinking exhausts your energy and is biased; that is why fear is so destructive and why sadness and hopelessness must be avoided. They work in a different way from what Mind Power does.

  1. A colored ball may work

To get the straightness of your shot, try a colored basketball during practice. This makes it easy to see the position of the ball. You get the quick feedback which is quite easy for you to work on your failure and improve your shot.

  1. Locate Your Target (the Rim) Earlier

If you get time to locate the rim, you can aim better as you get enough time to calculate distance and hence, can easily focus on your objective. It is not a one day task but a daily practice to shot and get the highest score.

So, put in the work with 100% tenacity and the results will come.
