Why Eden Hazard should win the PFA best player of the year?

Since Eden hazard joined Chelsea in 2012 from Lille, he has performed exceptionally well for Chelsea. He has adapted well in the strongest league in the world. He scored 14 goals last season and created 7 goals for his team. But in this season for Chelsea Hazard has been the most influential man, already scoring 14 goals. He has 8 assists to his name this season. But to become PFA player of the season those stats exclusively will not help, one has to be different. That’s been the case for some time especially with Eden Hazard.

If you are playing under Jose Mourinho you really have to pull your socks off. Hazard in Chelsea shirt has done the same. Apart from scoring the goals he has won 280 duels. He has the dual success percentage of 54.7% just behind Arsenal’s defensive midfielder Francis Coquelin. He has the most number of dribbles per match to his name almost 8 per game. What is more important as a winger is to move up and down on the pitch. Hazard has achieved that feat as well. He runs about 9.5-10.2 km per game. He is been the most fouled player in the premier league this season shows how skilful he is with the ball. The amount of work rate Hazrad gives to the game is exceptional.

That was about his individual skills. We all know that football is a team game and no player becomes great without a great team. His work ethics on and off the ball is same. He is as creative without the ball as he is with the ball. On this occasion stats backs him up. Hazard and Fabregas has the maximum number of passes exchanged among themselves (297) in this season of premier league.

The platform to score a goal is very important for any player to become the best. Hazard has proved himself in that field too. Poaching the important goal in recent win against Manchester united shows his talent. Chelsea is in contention of winning the premier league title this season and recently they were without their talisman Diego Costa who has scored 19 goals for the blues this season. In his absence against Sunderland he provides a major assists against QPR, Sunderland and scored against Manchester United.

He is the only Chelsea player in this season to be played every single minute of the season. His physical attribute, work ethics, goal scoring instinct, his art of goal creating have been seen this season. Moreover his contribution for the team has been his biggest asset. And that particular thing makes him different and one of the most deserved and prolific contender for PFA player of the year.
